Viagra and Cialis Compared |
There are the two leading oral drugs that are FDA
approved for treating erectile dysfunction are
Viagra and Cialis. They both work by inhibiting the
enzyme that attacks the cyclic GMP in your body
which allows the increase of flow of blood in the
penis and trap them. So when a man is stimulated
sexually, he can get erection.
They both work similarly, the only difference is how
quickly it works and how long will it last. Viagra
takes effect about 30 minutes of intake while Cialis
takes effect within about 15 minutes of intake. Also
Cialis wins hands down in the lasting game; it can
last up to 36 hours while Viagra can only last up to
4 hours.

If one of these drugs does not work for you, chances
are the other will not either. They both work the
same way so it would be unlikely that you will have
adequate erection in one drug when you failed in the
other.
Both drugs have the same side effects. Though not
everyone is complaining about it, some have
experienced upset stomach, nasal congestion,
flushing and changes in vision. There have been
reports that Cialis causes back pain, nothing
conclusive though. Call your doctor if these
symptoms do not go away in 4-8 hours.
If you experience rash, prolonged erection (erection
longer than 4 hours), fainting, painful erection,
chest pain and itching or burning sensation during
urination – call your doctor immediately. Do not
wait for it to get worst, it is important that your
doctor is notified so they can advise you on what to
do.
Whether you use Viagra or Cialis, you must take the
medications moderately and do not take more than one
pill for every 24 hours. Always be careful and keep
your medication bottle out of children's reach.
